Sara Arslanagić completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at International Burch University, and she is currently pursuing her PhD in International Relations and European Studies. In 2020, she made history as the youngest local politician in the municipality of Centar Sarajevo, later becoming the vice chairman of the council.
This year, as the only Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 representative Sara was selected to join the Young Elected Politicians (YEP) Programme created by the European Committee of the Regions. Through this, she had the honor of representing her country at several key events, including the Summit of Regions and Cities in Mons, Belgium, where she spoke about Gender Rights and Politics at Gender Week. She also took the stage at Enlargement Day, discussing Public Administration and Fiscal Decentralization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and most recently participated in the YELL Summit in Brussels, organized by Renew Europe CoR, LYMEC, and YDE 🇪🇺.
These opportunities have allowed her to proudly represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in EU institutions, showcasing the nation’s challenges and perspectives to a broader audience.
