International Burch University (IBU) is pleased to present its newly redesigned interior spaces, created in collaboration with IKEA, as part of a strategic effort to enhance the academic environment and enrich the student experience. Drawing on Scandinavian design principles, the renovation reflects a balance of functionality, comfort, and aesthetic clarity—fostering a space conducive to learning, collaboration, and well-being.
The transformation includes modernised student lounges, dynamic learning areas, and adaptable communal spaces, all carefully furnished with IKEA’s signature range. These interiors are designed not only to meet the evolving needs of students and staff, but also to echo IBU’s vision of openness, innovation, and sustainability.
The design concept, while developed in collaboration with IKEA’s international team, was led and architecturally realised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnan Novalić, ensuring its integration with IBU’s long-term spatial and educational vision.
