We are delighted to announce the successful completion of this year’s high school workshop cycle, which has been one of our most dynamic and well-attended programmes to date. Over the past month, we have had the privilege of welcoming a large number of high school students to our university, providing them with an exciting opportunity to explore different academic disciplines, engage in hands-on learning experiences, and gain a deeper insight into university life. This year’s turnout marks a significant increase in participation compared to previous years, highlighting the growing interest among students in discovering the possibilities that higher education can offer.
Through a variety of interactive workshops and activities, high school students had the chance to experience university-level learning in a welcoming and stimulating environment. Our goal was to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students make informed decisions about their future studies. The workshops were carefully designed to reflect real academic experiences and provide valuable insights into different study fields, while also allowing students to interact with our faculty members and explore the university setting.
This year’s programme included a wide range of activities tailored to meet the interests and aspirations of high school students.
Below is a breakdown of participation across different components:
-Many students attended subject-specific workshops organised by our university departments, where they explored areas such as science, IT, engineering, humanities, and social sciences.
-A large number of students took part in workshops delivered in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, gaining valuable knowledge from experts in various fields.
-Others participated in broader university activities, including campus tours, open days, and the "Be a Student for a Day" campaign, giving them a first-hand experience of university life and the opportunities available at IBU.
The overwhelming success of this year’s workshop cycle would not have been possible without the dedication, hard work, and collaboration of our academic staff, administrative teams, and external partners. We are incredibly grateful for the commitment shown by everyone involved in planning and delivering these activities, ensuring that students received an enriching and inspiring experience.
As we reflect on this achievement, we remain committed to expanding educational outreach, strengthening academic partnerships, and enhancing opportunities for student engagement. We look forward to building on this momentum and achieving even greater success in the years ahead.
